Sex Therapy
Sexuality is an integral part of who we are. When that part of our life is marked by pain, shame, disconnection, or difficulty, it touches everything. This is sacred, vulnerable ground. It deserves care, expertise, and a space where you can be honest without fear.
What is Sex Therapy?
Sex therapy is specialized clinical work focused on the sexual concerns, challenges, and questions that can arise across the lifespan — for individuals and couples alike. A certified sex therapist brings specialized training and clinical expertise to address the physical, emotional, relational, and psychological dimensions of sexual health and experience.
My approach begins with a thorough sexual assessment to understand the contributing and maintaining factors to what you're experiencing. From there, we develop a process and protocol tailored to your specific concerns. Sexual difficulties are rarely one-dimensional — they most often live at the intersection of physical, emotional, relational, and contextual factors, and that complexity deserves a comprehensive, informed response.
A multidisciplinary approach is the gold standard in working with sexual issues and challenges. Collaboration is a cornerstone of how I work — I maintain active working relationships with a range of medically trained professionals, including physicians, pelvic floor specialists, and other healthcare providers. Coordinating that care on your behalf is something I take seriously and do regularly.
Specialized training and certification
Sexual health is a deeply personal and often vulnerable area of life — and it deserves a clinician who has invested meaningfully in preparing to do this work well. "Sex therapist" is not a protected term, which means that when you're looking for support in this area, the training and credentials a clinician brings matter enormously.
I am a Certified Sex Therapist through the American Board of Christian Sex Therapists (ABCST), which requires 150+ clock hours of graduate-level training in sex therapy and 200 clock hours of clinical supervision. I maintain active certification through ongoing continuing education, consultation, and mentorship.

A note on faith and sexuality
I serve clients and couples of all backgrounds and belief systems within my scope of practice. I also bring unique training specifically for faith-based couples navigating the intersection of sexuality and spirituality. For those for whom faith is a meaningful part of their sexual story. Whether as a source of strength, tension, or both I am equipped to meet you there with competence, care, and deep respect for that dimension of your experience.
This work takes courage. Whatever has brought you here (confusion, pain, disconnection, or simply the desire for something more), you don't have to navigate it alone. I approach every client's sexual story with the honor and respect it deserves.
If you're ready to take the next step, I'd welcome the conversation.
